It has its own railway station, but the station is on the main road, a couple of miles from the hotel entrance, and there’s no direct service from the airport. Train and coach both start with the Glasgow Airport Express (bus 500) into the city, now £2 single under the Strathclyde fare cap. Fares are indicative for 2026, one way, and vary with time of day and how far ahead you book.
Take the Glasgow Airport Express (bus 500) into the city: about 15–25 minutes, £2 single. From Glasgow Queen Street, ScotRail trains towards Perth, Dundee and Aberdeen reach Gleneagles station in around 50–60 minutes, though not every service stops there, so check before you travel. The station is a couple of miles from the hotel, so arrange a transfer with the hotel in advance. Allow about two hours door to door.
Coaches run from Glasgow towards Perth, stopping at Auchterarder, and some routes change at Stirling. It’s the lowest fare, but the stop is in the village, about a mile and a half from the hotel, which is a long walk with suitcases.
A taxi from the rank will take you straight to the hotel in about an hour, typically £110–140 on the meter. It’s direct, but the fare isn’t agreed in advance and at busy times you may queue at the rank first.
An easy hour on the M8, M80 and A9. It’s worth it if you plan to explore Perthshire, less so if you’re staying put at the resort, where the car will sit in the car park for your stay.
