Bus, train, taxi or a private chauffeur: how long each takes, what it costs, and which suits you.
Glasgow Airport is about 8 miles west of the city centre, around 20 minutes by road. The cheapest way is the Airport Express bus. The easiest is a pre-booked chauffeur, from £70 at a fixed price.

| Taxi from the rank | About 20 minutes | Roughly £25–£35, metered | No booking needed |

The Airport Express (service 500) leaves from outside the terminal and runs to Buchanan Bus Station, stopping in the city centre on the way. It runs day and night and is the cheapest way in.
There’s no direct train from the airport. A short bus ride to Paisley Gilmour Street connects with frequent trains to Glasgow Central. Handy if your hotel is near Central Station.
Taxis wait at the rank outside arrivals and charge by the meter, so the fare depends on traffic and where you’re going. There can be a queue at busy times.
A pre-booked chauffeur is the same journey time as a taxi, at a price fixed before you fly. With Constantine your flight is tracked, 60 minutes’ waiting is included from landing, and you meet your chauffeur at a confirmed pickup point. City centre from £70 in a Mercedes C-Class. How the pickup works.
