Four castles used to film Outlander sit within an hour of Glasgow. Doune Castle became Castle Leoch, Midhope Castle became Lallybroch, Jamie Fraser’s family home, and Blackness Castle played Fort William. Linlithgow Palace, where Mary, Queen of Scots was born, was used for Wentworth Prison.
